Does your child start school shortly? Is he or she rather nervous and shy? Or maybe your child is already in the infants but is still a little anxious. Have you thought of introducing them to the world of dance?
Dance classes are a great way for children to develop their self expression and with lots of encouragement will enjoy the different rhythms and dance styles. They will learn to interact with others and develop their communication. Working in pairs and groups will develop their confidence and social skills for classroom related activities. Learning to dance will benefit many areas of a child’s development.
We have a new dance class starting in September for 4-7 year olds. They will learn exciting rhythms such as Social Foxtrot, Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba and many more along with Freestyle dancing. These will be taught in a small friendly group with lots of encouragement and fun. Pupils usually progress to take the brightly coloured Rosette Awards with the IDTA (International Dance Teachers’ Association ) they then display these on a lovely purple bannerette. They also receive a certificate of their accomplishment.
